Whether you're using the mobile app or the desktop app, the concept is the same. The easiest way to track time on your timesheet is to simply record time as you go throughout your day, by selecting your activity each time you start a new activity. When you do this, TimeSavr starts tracking time instantly, with the current time as your start time.

Mobile App
On the mobile app, the timesheet may look different depending on your screen size because the mobile app can be used on all screen sizes (even your desktop computer). On larger screens, such as tablets, you will see the IN and OUT times, and you'll select your current activity from a dropdown list.
On a smaller screen, such as a small tablet or phone, you'll select your current activity after clicking CLOCK IN, and your current in and out times are not displayed.
To see your current IN and OUT times, or to modify your time, tap the time record to reveal your options, then select Edit.
Modifying Your Time
When modifying your time, you can either select from the new time dropdown, or you can type in your time. By default, the time dropdown appears when you double click your time input, but this can be changed in your Settings. When you type in your time, there's no need to enter in the colon ( : ) and there's no need to type in the "m" for "am" or "pm". In fact, if you're entering in a morning time, you don't even have have to type the "a" for "am" because it is the default. If you need to enter in minutes less than 10, then you will need to use the colon. So for example:
Type
Equals
830 a
8:30 am
830
8:30 am
430 p
4:30 pm
8:5
8:05 am
4:5 p
4:05 pm
These rules apply to both the mobile and desktop app.
Time Dropdown
By default, the time dropdown will appear when you double-click the field, but this can be changed on the Staff tab in Settings. Your options are to show the field on focus, click, double-click or never. The only difference between focus and click, is that on focus the dropdown will also appear if you tab into the field, without clicking on it.
Desktop App
The desktop app is similar to the mobile, except that IN and OUT times are always displayed and can be modified inline. When a change is successfully saved, the input will temporarily display a green border. The other main difference is that you will see your available activities listed to the right of the timesheet.
The easiest way to track time on your timesheet in the desktop app is to simply select an activity from the list on the right. When you do this, TimeSavr starts tracking time instantly, with the current time as your start time.

Alternate Method
Similar to the mobile app on a large screen, an alternate way to create a time record on the desktop app, is to select your activity from the drop down. As soon as you select an option from the drop down, a new record is inserted with the current time. Then you can modify your time if necessary.
