Save Changes Link
On some pages your data changes are not saved until you click on Save Changes. This link appears in the top right hand corner of the page
If you see the Save Changes link, that means you have outstanding changes. The Save Changes link submits all data on the page, including data on all tabs on that page. This means you can modify data on multiple different tabs on the same page before clicking Save Changes.
Auto Save
TimeSavr is gradually moving to an auto-save setup, so that Save Changes link will disappear from more pages over time. The auto save feature saves data one input at a time, as soon as the data is changed and the save is triggered.
When you make a data change on an auto-save input, the border of the input will glow green for a few seconds to indicate that the save was successful, so watch for that. Also, please note that the save is triggered when you tab, or click, outside of the input. If you leave your cursor in the input that you just changed, no save is triggered, so make sure you click away from the input, or tab out. Then watch for the green border highlight to confirm the save is made.
If the field is a radio button, checkbox, or drop down then the save is triggered as soon as you click or select a new value, and the label is briefly highlighted in green, but for the input text fields where you can type in a value, the save does not happen until you leave the field. So, if you're noticing that sometimes some of your data was not saved, it was likely because you did not trigger the save by leaving the input.
New Data Shades
When inserting new data in TimeSavr, such a new staff, or a new child, or a new subsidy type, these types of inserts will be handled through a new insert panel which slides down from the top like a shade. A new data shade is recognizable by the large X in the top right hand corner which you can use to close the shade and cancel your input.
Data entered into the shade is not saved until you click the Save button at the bottom of the form.
