Creating Grants Automatically
To apply grants to childcare fees, you can either create pre-defined grants or create a custom grant for each child. Creating pre-defined grants is recommended as it will simplify the process of applying grants to children, as they can re-used an unlimited number of times.
A predefined grant consists of a name, an amount and whether or not the grant should be deducted from the childcare fee on the invoice. To create predefined grants, go to Admin > Finance > Grants.
If you have no grants defined, you'll be given the option to have Timesavr automatically insert the grants for you, if your centre is located in the province of Alberta.
Creating Grants Manually
To create grants manually, go to Admin > Finance > Grants and click "New Grant" and enter in your grants manually. Creating grants manually is more work but it gives you more control over the naming of grants, and the end result will be the same.
It's a good idea to use a descriptive name so that when you're selecting it from a list, you know exactly which grant to select, but don't be too verbose because this name will also be shown on the invoice so it should make sense to the parents.
Applying Grants
After you've created your grants, you can move onto applying them to childcare fees.
