The Timesavr online registration form serves as the primary touchpoint for most families connecting with your centre. Designed for ease and intuitiveness, it allows parents to effortlessly submit their information and request placement.
The form is ready to use right away—simply share the link on your website or via email, and parents can start registering immediately. If you'd like to personalize it, Timesavr offers customization options to align with your centre's branding. You can upload your logo, adjust colours and titles, and tailor the form to fit your needs by selecting which fields to include, modifying labels, and adding spacers, text, or custom fields.
All customizations to the online registration form, can be made in Admin > Intake > Online Registration.
Options & Labels
Notification Email
When you enable the option "Send a notification email to this email address for each new online registration," you will receive an email summarizing key details about the family and children who have registered. This email is intended to provide a brief overview rather than a full profile, giving you insight into who is seeking space in your center. For more comprehensive details, refer to your unconfirmed list.
You may enter either a single email address or multiple addresses, separated by a semi-colon (;). If entering multiple addresses, ensure there are no spaces between them—only the semi-colon should be used as a separator.
Email Consent
When you enable the option "Inform the user that they are implying consent to receive emails if they supply an email address," the form will display a message to parents upon entering their email address.
In Canada, this notification is not legally required. Individuals who initiate a relationship with a business are generally expected to receive communications from that business without needing to provide additional consent. This message simply serves as a courtesy notification
Choose Program or Room
If you're asking the user to choose a program, they will be assigned to that program automatically upon registration, but you still must assign the child to a room manually. Program refers to daycare, out of school care, preschool, etc. Enabling this option typically only makes sense if you're using program names that clearly describe to the parents what they're choosing, like for example if you're using location names, like "Daycare South Campus" and "Daycare North Campus", for your program names. However, you don't necessarily need to be using these descriptive names internally, as with this option enabled, you will also be able to change the way the parents see the program names on the registration form.

If you're asking the user to choose a room, then the child will be automatically assigned to that room upon registration. Again, this typically only makes sense if the room names clearly describe what the parents are choosing. In this case, there is no option to change the way room names are displayed on the registration form. They will be displayed exactly as you see them internally.
Successful Registration Message
This message is displayed in the browser after a user submits the registration form. It will appear directly below the "Registration successful" confirmation.
Use this space to provide a brief overview of what happens next, ensuring parents understand the next steps in the process. However, for more detailed information, use to the
Registration Email, which is sent automatically to parents upon registration.
For more information on all the intake emails, please see this documentation:
Customizable Field Labels
The labels for both the comment field and address field are fully customizable.
The comment field is a large text box that can be used for any purpose. Common labels include:
- "Is there anything else you'd like us to know about your child?"
- "Please describe cultural practices the child is used to."
The value entered in the comment field will be included in the registration notification email sent to your center. It can also be viewed on the child's Enrolment page, where it will be labeled "Registration Note".
You may want to modify the address label to better suit rural areas, where users might need to provide an RR (Rural Route) address or a legal land description instead of a standard street address.
Sections to Include
This refers to the sections of the registration form, that you want the parents to complete. Any items you uncheck here will not be shown on the registration form.
Colors & Layout
Colors
The colors on the registration form refer to the background colors, not the text color. The text color is automatically determined by Timesavr, based on your selected background color.
You have the option to either synchronize your background colors with those used internally in Timesavr or customize them for the registration form.
If choosing custom colors, you must select two colors that will be applied as a gradient—the first color appearing at the top and the second at the bottom of the page. Alternatively, you can select the same color for both, eliminating the gradient effect.
Below the custom color selection, a variety of preset options are available for convenience. You can use these presets or manually select your own colors to align with your organization's branding.
Titles
The titles on the registration form can be customized or hidden entirely based on your preferences.
By default:
- The title is set to your company name, as defined in your centre profile.
- The subtitle is automatically set to "Online Registration."
- The email address and phone number are also pulled from your centre profile as default values.
If you choose to override any of these settings here, the original values in your centre profile will remain unchanged.
Logo
If you haven’t uploaded a logo to your centre profile, you can do so here. The logo file must be in one of the following formats: .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, or .png.
You can align the logo on either the right or left side of the header on the registration form. If aligned to the left, the title and subtitle will automatically be right-aligned.
Build
The build tab is where you can insert custom fields, spacers or text, or re-arrange existing elements. The colors, and elements displayed on the build tab will honor the settings you've previously set on the other tabs. Some settings will require a page reload to be rendered correctly on the build tab.
Custom fields, spacers and text can be inserted into the form by using drag and drop. Any of these elements can be inserted after any other existing element, but can not be inserted at the very top of the page before the first element.
Inserting Custom Fields
Custom fields can also be created in Admin > System > Custom Fields. When inserting a custom field there, you'll have the option of also showing that field on the registration form, or not. When inserting a custom field on the registration build page, it will always enable the option to show this field on the registration form. If you later want to remove this field from the registration form, but still keep it in the system, then you can modify that setting in Admin > System > Custom Fields.
Inserting Spacers
You can insert a spacer anywhere on the form, placing it after any existing element.
By default, each spacer has a height of 30 pixels. To adjust its size, simply click on the spacer after inserting it—a settings window will open where you can modify the height.
- The minimum height for a spacer is 20 pixels.
- The maximum height is 200 pixels.
- If you attempt to save a spacer with a height exceeding 200 pixels, it will automatically be set to 200 pixels.
Inserting Text
Text can be inserted by dragging the text element onto the form, after any other existing element. As soon as the element is dropped, a window will open where you can enter in your text. The text can be formatted using bold, italic, underline, text color, bulleted lists, etc. All formatting applied here will be used on the registration form as well.
Changing Sort Order
To change the sort order of elements on the form, drag and drop each element in its proper place. Only elements that have been added, such as custom fields, spacers and text, can be moved. Built in Timesavr fields can not be moved.
Modify an Inserted Element
Each of the inserted elements, custom fields, spacers and text, can be modified by clicking on the element.
Delete an Element
Any inserted element, a custom field, spacer or text, can be deleted by dragging it onto the Delete panel on the right hand side. Careful: If you delete a custom field, you will also be deleting any data that was previously saved in that field.

Required Fields
On the Required Fields tab, you can specify which fields parents must complete before submitting the registration form.
Any field marked as required will display the word "Required" as a placeholder within the input field. If a user attempts to submit the form without providing a value, the submission will be blocked, and they will be prompted to enter the missing information.
Link
The Link tab provides the direct URL to your online registration form.
- Add this link to your website so parents can easily access the form by clicking a button.
- Alternatively, you can email the link directly to parents.
This page also includes two additional options for convenience:
- "View Form" – Opens the registration form, allowing you to preview it.
- "Email Link" – Automatically generates a new email in your default email app with the link embedded in the email body. (Note: If no default email app is configured, this option will not work.)
Payment
The Payment tab allows you to prompt users to make a payment immediately after completing their registration.
This feature requires credit card payments to be enabled. To activate this, go to Admin > Finance > Credit Card Payments. Once enabled, the Payment tab lets you instruct Timesavr to automatically generate an invoice for the newly registered family, with a button they can click to complete payment via credit card.
You have full control over the invoice details, including:
- The items listed on the invoice
- The charge item used for each entry
- Any comments included for each item
- The amount charged
- A multiplier option, which can be set to either:
- None (no multiplication)
- Multiply by the number of children registered (recommended for registration fees)
Additionally, you can customize the button text displayed to parents. By default, it reads "Pay Registration Fee," but you can modify it to better suit your needs.
If parents choose not to click the payment button after registration or fail to complete the transaction, the invoice will remain on their profile as an outstanding balance.

Advanced
The Advanced tab provides additional customization options for the registration process.
- You can enable the "Redirect the user to the following URL after successfully completing the registration" option, allowing users to be sent to a different website upon completion. If this option is enabled, enter the full URL of your page, ensuring it includes "https://" to function correctly.
- Additionally, this page provides direct online registration links for each room or dayhome defined in your system. These links allow children to be automatically enrolled in the selected room upon registration.
